Ikari (碇, Ikari) is the leader of the MK5.

Ikari is a man of very short stature, being the shortest in the group. He has unkept, spiky black hair with two (sometimes one) small bangs that hang over his face. He wears a red polo shirt with a loosened purple neck tie and navy blue pants. He also has a scar that runs from the top left of his forehead to his left ear, also, on his left ear is a pin which he wears as an earring.

Ikari is a short and snarky man.

Tōhōshinki ArcEdit

Mobichi ArcEdit

Bloodied Ikari On The Stairs

Ikari asks how Furuichi can become so strong.

While hanging around in the stairway to the rooftop, Ikar and the other members of the MK5 celebrate the fact that they have recently completed a special technique which they believe will help them gain recognition amongst their peers. Suddenly, Furuichi enters from the rooftop and takes on the MK5 and Shimokawa, defeating all of them with ease. Shocked, Ikari then asks Furuichi as to how he has become so powerful in such a short amount of time, furious at the immediate difference in strength between them. However, after hearing Furuichi's response, Ikari and the others beg for him to take them on as his disciples.[1]

Return to Ishiyama High School ArcEdit

MK5 Buried In Concrete Again

The re-defeat of the entire MK5.

After months of reconstruction, Ishiyama High School is finally rebuilt, allowing all of the students to return back.[2]

However, upon the MK5's return to the high school, they are all defeated and cleanly buried into the concrete wall that surrounds the campus, which Oga and Furuichi discover sometime after.[3]

Powers & AbilitiesEdit

Ikari is shown to be the swiftest and most nimble of the group, being able to pop up from almost thin air when reporting to Miwa.

Their exact relationship is unknown, but it is shown he along with the MK5 fear Miwa. When Ikari reports how their current plan is being carried out, he 'accidentally' refers to Kunieda as 'Queen Kunieda'. Miwa then reminds him who the 'real Queen' is by severely beating him. In the anime, MK5 tag along with Miwa's antics in proving him to be the most beautiful and fairest in Ishiyama.

Being the leader of the group, it can be assured the members trust him as the leader and follow him to kill the moods whenever moods strike. However, Ikari's mood killing plans often end in failure.

It can be implied that Ikari and the rest of the MK5 somewhat tolerate Shimokawa's presence in their gang, but they don't recognize him as a full fledged member.

  • Each member of the MK5 is named after a member of Japanese rock and roll band and comedy group The Drifters. Ikari is named after the late bassist Chosuke Ikariya, who was also the leader.
