The Solomon Company is a company that has connections in the Human World and in the Demon World. The name originated from Solomon, the Demon Lord's first spellmaster.
The company was responsible for robbing the Great Demon Lord's painting and then delivering it to Himekawa and Kugayama. The reasons for delivering it to them are still unknown. Accordingly it was the company's fault that the friendship of Himekawa and Kugayama was ruined.
They are responsible as well of delivering to the Six Omens of Slaughter demons. Also it is implied that their objective is to capture Beelzebub IV or at least to join their side. According to Hecadoth, they are responsible of the disappearance of some members of Behemoth's 34 Pillar Squad.
So far, there have been shown some members of the Solomon Company:
Udagawa, who is called "the Observer" (he has the task to keep an eye on the Fallen Angels, especially Takamiya), Fuji, who seems to be a loyal ally of the company and a man, called "the company's reaper", who appears to be one of the leaders of the company.
It is also stated by Hecadoth that someone in the demon world uses the Solomon Company for his own goals.
Johan, the company's reaper appears to report directly to 3 elders, who sit in a grand hall on throne-like seats. It is implied that these elders are the top of the Solomon Company, and it is also shown that they are at least acquainted with the Great Demon Lord, recognizing him instantly when he appears before them.
While many issues regarding the Solomon Company, their methods, motivations and objectives are unclear even after their defeat, what is evident is that they were the puppetmaster behind most of the story's events. Johan in particular seems to have prepared Ishiyama and Saint Ishiyama, among other events, as "stages" to allow Oga and Beel to grow and mature. It is quite possible that the reason they interferred with Himekawa and Kugayama's friendship was to eventually lead Himekawa into enrolling at Ishiyama rather than Saint Marx.
It is also known that they had some plans prepared in case Beelzebub IV and Satan both awoke to their power, in order to reap profits from the situation. Given their apparent kidnappings of some of the pillar squad's members, it can be assumed that by having Beelzebub and Satan wage war against one another, they would sell protection to others in the form of demons, similarly to how they provided the upstarts with demons.
